FAQ: I'm upgrading from an iPhone 7 Plus to an iPhone 13 Pro. What changes should I expect?

The short answer is: The lack of a home button and a much better camera

Since the iPhone 13 Pro doesn't have a Home button, you'll need to learn a new way of interacting with your iPhone.

Instead of pressing the Home button, you'll constantly swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get back to the home screen.

And instead of double-clicking the Home button, you'll now swipe up and keep your finger in the middle of the screen for 1 second to see the recently opened apps.

Activating Control Center will now require you to swipe down from the top right corner of the screen (where you'll see the battery indicator).

To see the notifications, you'll also swipe down from the top of the screen but between the left corner and the rightmost part of the notch.

Swiping right from the bottom of the screen will allow you to quickly access the previously active applications.

All those gestures work regardless of being on the Home screen or already in an app.

Apart from that, you'll notice that your new iPhone will be much more responsive while offering longer battery life.

And despite being physically smaller than your iPhone 7 Plus, the screen of your iPhone 13 Pro will be bigger, allowing you to see more content.

With the iPhone 13 Pro being compatible with MagSafe, a whole new range of accessories open up for you.

Finally, you'll benefit from incredible advances in camera technology, both for selfies and shots with the rear cameras.

Night mode, Portrait mode selfies and Portrait lightning are welcome improvements and you'll now benefit from a 6x optical zoom range (vs. 2x on your iPhone 7 Plus).

And you, what changes did you notice when switching to your first Face ID iPhone?
