Did you know that since iOS 15, people can join a FaceTime call from a browser on Windows, Linux or Android?
For that, you need to create a FaceTime link and send it to the people who don't have an Apple device.
This tip is useful for people who don't use any other videoconferencing tool, like WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom, Teams, or Webex, ...
Here's the procedure:
Open FaceTime
Tap on "Create Link"
If you want, tap on "Add name" to give it a meaningful name, then tap on OK
You'll then have multiple options:
Either send the link to a recent contact
Or share it via Messages or the Mail app
Or tap on 'Copy' so that you'll be able to paste the link in a calendar event for instance
Here's an example of sending the link to myself via Facebook Messenger
Once the link has been created, it can be used anytime but other people will only be able to join it if you open it first.
To initiate the call:
Either tap on its name
Or tap on the small (i) then on the "Join" button
There you'll have the option to share or delete the link too
The person without an Apple device just needs to click on the FaceTime link which will open in a browser, enter their name then click on Join.
You'll need to approve their connection for them to join you in the FaceTime call.
If you're curious, I've recorded a quick demo of a FaceTime call between my iPhone XR running iOS 15 (left) and a Windows 10 PC with the FaceTime link opened in Microsoft Edge (right).

And you, how often do you organise FaceTime calls with family members or friends?
