How to set the language on an app-by-app basis on your iPhone

Did you know that since iOS 13, it's possible to customise the language for most apps, independently from the operating system language?

This can be useful when, like me, you need to quickly show an app in different languages and you don't want to switch the language of the entire operating system.

On iPhone and iPad, just visit Settings, scroll down to the desired app and tap on "Language"

Some apps support fewer languages than others, simply because it's up to the developer to provide the translation.

The list of available languages in Settings is the same as the languages advertised on the App Store:
