How to draw perfect shapes with iOS 14's built-in annotation tool

Did you know that since iOS 14, it's possible to draw perfect shapes using the built-in annotation tool?

The trick is to pause for a second after drawing the shape, then release the finger from the screen.

That's it!

It works in Notes but also when annotating pictures or PDF documents using Markup.

And the list of recognised shapes is huge:

  • lines, arcs, arrows

  • circles, squares, rectangles, pentagons, ...

  • hearts, speech bubbles, clouds and many more
