Would you like your child to learn how to make a game on her/his iPad?

Then you’ll love our coding workshops tailored to children between 6 and 12 years old.

Here are the dates for the 2018 School holidays:

  • Easter: Mon 26/3 to Wed 28/3 (Beginner)

  • Pentecost: Tue 22/5 to Thu 24/5 (Intermediate)

  • July:

    • Tue 10/7 to Thu 12/7 (Beginner)

    • Tue 17/7 to Thu 19/7 (Intermediate)

  • August:

    • Tue 21/8 to Thu 23/8 (Beginner)

    • Tue 28/8 to Thu 30/8 (Intermediate)

Each workshop will take place over 3 consecutive afternoons (1:30pm-5:30pm) in Schuttrange (5km from A1 exit 11).

Price (incl. manual, snacks and refreshments):

  • €240 for 1 child

  • €456 for 2 children (5% off)

  • €648 for 3 children (10% off)

  • Get 5% additional discount when booking the beginner & intermediate at the same time

ENROLMENT FOR AUGUST ENDS IN



Pre-requisite:

  • iPad running at least iOS 8
    • To verify: Open "Settings" → "General" → "About" → "Version"
  • Each child needs to bring an iPad
  • The following apps need to be installed prior to the workshop

If your child has never practiced programming with Scratch or ScratchJr, then you should enrol her/him to the Beginner level.

If your child is somewhat familiar with Scratch or ScratchJr, then the Intermediate level is the most appropriate. Students who attended the beginners workshop should definitely choose this level.


Learning objectives

At the end of the "Beginner" program, your child will:

  • understand the concepts of "instructions ", "sequencing" and "loops" 
  • be able to create a simple game or an animated scenery with funny characters

At the end of the "Intermediate" program, your child will:

  • understand the concepts of "variable", "function" and "input"
  • be able to:
    • add gravity and physics to their game
    • make game elements follow their finger across the screen
    • animate game characters realistically by changing their appearance

Terms & conditions

The number of seats is limited to 5 children per workshop and a minimum of 3 enrollments must be made for the workshop to take place.

Registration closes 15 days before the workshop and, if there aren’t enough enrollments, you will get refunded. 

If you cancel the participation of your child for medical reasons, a voucher will be issued and valid for 12 months on any of EasyTECH’s services.

No refunds in case of no show or cancellation less than 2 days prior to the event.
