FAQ: How can I tell Apple that the address added as a location in Calendar is wrong?

One of my clients noticed that the handy automatic location address tool in Calendar is giving the wrong address for a restaurant she wanted to visit.

It’s possible to flag inaccurate addresses of any place suggested by Calendar simply via the Apple Maps app.

My 3 main takeaways from the WWDC21 keynote held on Monday, June 7th, 2021

Between Monday, June 7th and Friday, June 11th, 2021, Apple held its annual worldwide developer conference (WWDC) fully online, like last year.

In case you don’t know, the first day is always kicked off with a presentation called the “Keynote”, during which Tim Cook, (the CEO) and his team paint a picture of what is coming up in the world of Apple.

This session was jam-packed with information about the next versions of the operating system running on iPhone, iPad, the Mac and Apple Watch.

Because I understand that you may not have the time to watch the replay of the keynote, I’ve prepared a short summary with my 3 main takeaways:

  • The overlap between iOS, iPadOS and macOS is increasing

  • The penny finally dropped that humans are social beings

  • iPadOS is still more iOS than macOS

How to save space and reduce distractions with "app offloading"

How to save space and reduce distractions with "app offloading"

Did you know that it's possible to remove an app while keeping its documents and data intact with iOS 11?

As explained in my previous post, this feature is called app offloading.

It allows to temporarily save local storage space on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, without losing any data along the way.

This is especially useful for devices with only 8 GB or 16 GB of local storage space.

2 steps to start organising your photos and videos on your iPhone/iPad

2 steps to start organising your photos and videos on your iPhone/iPad

Since iOS 8, it’s easier to organise photos and videos, thanks to the possibility to create both “Folders” and “Albums” in the Photos app:

Folders:

  • can contain albums and other folders

  • cannot contain pictures or videos
  • are recognisable by their 4 thumbnails (2x2 square)

Albums:

  • can only contain pictures or videos
  • cannot contain folders or other albums
  • only show 1 thumbnail (key photo)
